What is the process?

The process begins with a conversation. Let us know what your company's needs are, you choose the pay rate! We work to find you employees that fit the parameters you need.  You have the option to interview candidates before bringing them on, or simply start them immediately. If, after they get started, you feel that a change is needed, simply let us know. We will contact the employee directly following the final shift and locate another candidate for the position. You send over their time every Monday and we invoice you every Wednesday for the hours worked. We take care of the paperwork, payroll, taxes, and insurance. We are the employer on record, should an employee incur injury or file for unemployment.

How much does your service cost?

We pride ourselves in being competitive in the staffing and recruiting market! Based on the hourly rate you choose, we utilize a calculator which determines the overhead rate. This is determined before any assignments are filled.

What type of payment do you accept,
what are the terms?

We accept ACH, checks, and Quick Books pay. Credit card payments are accepted with additional fees. Invoices are due within 14 days of receipt. If there is an issue with payment, or you have any questions about making a modification to your due date, please contact us at 405-608-8000 to ask for assistance.  

At what point can I bring the employee onto my payroll?

Employees may stay on as temporary indefinitely, or be hired after only 520 hours of work. After 520 hours has been billed and paid, the assigned employee can be put on your payroll at no extra cost! Smith Staffing has been in the business for 25 years, we are proud to say that we currently have employees who have been working with clients for 20+ years. 

Does your company do background and drug screens?

At Smith Staffing, a local background check is provided for free with every employee that applies with us. National background checks may be provided prior to transitioning an employee off of our payroll and onto yours! Smith Staffing also offers drug screens for potential long term and temporary to permanent employees upon request!

How are the employees paid?

Employees are paid every Friday via Direct Deposit. Worked hours are reported by the client weekly, each Monday.

Pay cards are available for employees upon request.
